FullStack Software Engineer 

We are looking for a Generalist Software Engineer with experience to join our lean, highly technical team at the frontier of AI. We need a smart, capable engineer with strong first-principles thinking to help us solve novel problems that break traditional engineering best practices. You will be instrumental in building our 'world engine,' a complex, interconnected environment that enables AI models to learn and interact with a simulated digital world, directly impacting the next generation of agentic AI.

What will you be doing?

  • Own and build software 'replicas' from the ground up, integrating them into our core 'world engine' to create a vast, interactive environment for AI agents.
  • Develop services that ensure data coherence across the simulated digital world, tackling unique challenges like making a virtual baseball game get canceled during a simulated hurricane.
  • Solve novel, first-principles engineering problems that don't have existing patterns or solutions, breaking conventional best practices to build for the future of AI.
  • Go beyond typical full-stack tasks to reason about and build the fundamental infrastructure needed for our complex simulation environment.
  • Collaborate directly with researchers at leading Frontier AI labs, translating their needs into new capabilities and preempting future research directions.

Seniority

2+ years of experience as a software engineer.​

Work experience

Has shipped user-​facing features end-​to-​end (bonus for AI-​LLM-​powered features).​

Experience at an AI-​forward VC-​backed startup or top tech company (e.​g.​,​ FAANG).​

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a top program (e.​g.​,​ Berkeley,​ UIUC,​ Purdue,​ MIT,​ Caltech,​ etc.​).​

Skills

Strong engineering fundamentals (ideally TypeScript,​ React,​ and Python).​

Miscellaneous

Active side projects,​ especially in AI or agentic systems.​
